I’m so excited to share a few of my favorites with you ! First and foremost, my two “littles” . Hanna & Grace. And…..I’ve been wanting to share some recent news about the launch of a new Photography magazine by Sarah Gardner “Beyond the Camera Magazine”. It has gotten rave reviews and an incredible amount of hits over the past couple weeks.. It is full of inspiration and beautiful photography for the creative photographer. I was fortunate to be apart of it, as you scroll down, you can read about my workshops, and my path into photography. I was completely flattered to have my work published amongst some of the other truly inspiring photographers that were also asked to take part in this project. It truly is a work of art as is everything Sarah seems to do! Her textures are amazing to work with and really adds so much depth to my photographs, and her new book “Art Beyond the Lens” really inspired me to try something new in terms of how I approach my images to achieve a different look, which is often important when your shooting commercial and editorial work. I put the techniques in combination with a few of my own tricks in the images below. This was a quick little session we literally squeezed in before the sun had fallen, so with that said, we had very little light to work with and I was pulling about 1000 iso on my Mark iii to achieve these results. I can only imagine how the same steps will look on a properly exposed image. However, these are my little loves and a little grain would never stop me from posting these sweet little moments between them. With that said, here are some out takes from the shoot we did.. as well as a sneak peak, of the new mag “Beyond the Camera Magazine”. If you havent checked it out, it is worth the look and then some. Stay tuned for her Valentines Day special edition due out soon! Until then, Have a wonderful week and Have A Wonderful Valentines Day!
